Background

Beth Watson is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in child and adolescent treatment who has been in practice for 10 years. She has received training in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). In addition, Dr. Watson has expertise in parent coaching for children and adolescents. 

Dr. Watson has a doctorate in clinical psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Outside of her private practice, Dr. Watson currently is an Adjunct Professor at Teachers College where she teaches a course in empirically valid treatments to doctoral level students. She also is a clinical supervisor for graduate students running a DBT skills group for adults at the student run clinic at Teachers College. 

Dr. Watson completed her internship at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. She is interested in mindfulness and integrates it into therapy whenever it benefits the client. 

Dr. Watson is a parent and understands, first hand, the real life struggle of supporting your child's growth. She enjoys exercise and uses it as a way to maintain her own emotional balance.

Dr. Barbarasch is a licensed psychologist in NJ (#5903) as well as a certified school psychologist. She earned a Psy.D. in School Psychology from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University. Dr. Barbarasch has worked with adults, children, and families in a variety of settings including public schools and community mental health clinics.

Throughout her training, Dr. Barbarasch has gained experience working with adults, adolescents and children utilizing an eclectic variety of cognitive behavioral, humanistic, and play therapy techniques. Dr. Barbarasch has had extensive experience working with children and adolescents, and adults with a variety of abilities and disabilities include anxiety, depression, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorders as well as those who have experienced significant loss and trauma. Her experiences as a school psychologist in the public school system has given her extensive knowledge in advocating for students' needs within the education system.
